It is extemely important to pre-book your Windsor Castle tickets, particularly at weekends where there are long lines. London Pass holders no longer enjoy fast track entry

Catch a train from London at either Paddington (changing at Slough) to Windsor & Eton Central or Waterloo station for Windsor & Eton Riverside or Hampton Court in the morning (we suggest departing at around 8.45 for Windsor Castle and 9.00 for Hampton Court). You may use your Oyster card to get to Hampton Court station but not to Windsor. It is the responsibility of all Shuttle passengers to purchase correct and valid train and venue tickets independently. All train stations are close to your chosen destination.
Book The Official Shuttle at the time and direction you want below. We can only accept passengers who have pre-booked the Shuttle. The Shuttle transfer service only runs during lunchtime. Return from your second venue independently by train to London.

The Shuttle runs 7 days a week except 24, 25, & 26 December when both Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle are closed. Occasionally Windsor Castle is closed for State occasions – on these days the Shuttle will not be available to book.

Pickup: Tfl Bus Stop E 'Hampton Court Green - Cardinal Wolsey' on Hampton Court Road. Simply exit the Palace through the main Gate, cross the road at the light controlled pedestrian crossing and turn right and follow the road round passing Sir Christopher Wren's former home and continue for approximately 50 yards.
Drop off: Tfl Bus Stop F 'Hampton Court Palace' immediately outside Hampton Court Palace.

Pickup and Drop off: At Windsor Parish Church of Saint John the Baptist in the High Street.
If Windsor Castle is your morning visit, it is vitally important that you check the programme of events and purchase your tickets in advance here Large numbers of Tour Groups arrive in Windsor at approximately 9:30 on their way to Bath and Stonehenge delivering hundreds of tourists, this results in long queues (lines) at the Ticket Office. Advance booking will avoid the need to queue although you will still need to pass through ‘airport’ style security before entering.
Windsor is fortunate to have two train stations both a short walk to the Castle. Windsor Eton Central for trains from London Paddington via Slough. London Waterloo has a direct service to Windsor Eton Riverside.
Please note that as a working royal palace, the Castle is used frequently by The Queen for State ceremonies and official entertaining, and closures can occasionally occur at short notice.
Please also note that the Semi-State Rooms are only open during the winter months between late September 2015 and early March 2016. For further information on Windsor Castle's program of events and ticket purchase please check here
